The Study Of Chuanxiong Gel Formulation

Chuanxiong (Ligusticum chuanxiong Hort.) from DuJiangYan is a regular commonly used traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) materials, which is widely clinical used. The main work of this Paper is the research of Chuanxiong hand sanitizer and gel formulation.The research of preparation of Chuanxiong hand sanitizer was carried on. Chuanxiong essential oil was applied to be fragrance and ethanol was applied to be disinfectant. The safety of Chuanxiong hand sanitizer was evaluating by the skin irritation experiments on volunteers. Spreading Chuanxiong hand sanitizer on the normal hand derma of volunteers repetitiously and observing the situation of irritation were carried on. The results show that Chuanxiong hand sanitizer has little irritation on normal skin.The research of preparation of Chuanxiong gel formulation was carried on. Chuanxiong extract was used for main components, Glycerin was used for humectant, and Chuanxiong essential oils was used for fragrance. The safety of Chuanxiong gel formulation was evaluated by the skin irritation experiments on volunteers. Spreading Chuanxiong gel on the normal foot derma of volunteers repetitiously and observing the situation of irritation were carried on. The results show that Chuanxiong gel formulation has little irritation on normal skin. The results of the study provide a new way of the using Chuanxiong, while Chuanxiong can be used made of gel formulation to prevent and cure diabetic foot.The research of preparation of Ethanol hand sanitizer was carried on.75% ethanol was used for main disinfectant, Glycerin was used for humectant. Moderate lemon pigment and essence was added in Ethanol hand sanitizer. The safety of ethanol hand sanitizer was evaluated by the skin irritation experiments on volunteers. Spreading Ethanol hand sanitizer on the normal hand derma of volunteers once and repetitiously and observing the situation of irritation were carried on. The results show that Ethanol hand sanitizer has little irritation on normal skin.According to the guide of World Health Organization and Ministry of health of the people's republic of China, concerning prevention of influenza, the ethanol is able to kill influenza virus effectively and be the disinfectant to guard against the flu. The research of preparation of Ethanol hand sanitizer was carried on. The preparation could be applied to prevent influenza, with simple preparation process, high maneuver ability and portability.
