The Research Of Protection And Control System Of The Belt Conveyor

Belt conveyor is a continuous movement transportation machinery of friction drive. With the great increasing and enhancement of coal mechatronics level, belt conveyor is more widespread used, and the number is more and more, and the distance of transportation is longer and longer, but it often appear skid, running deviation, coal heaping, smoke and over-temperature in using. These affect production and safety of the mine. In order to avoid these incidents, belt conveyor protector born. It can not only constantly monitor belt state, but also can be alarm in belt malfunction, and can change the state of belt for protection. Application of belt conveyor protectors makes a dependable protection of belt.The protection and control system of belt conveyor which is designed with nine protections by the paper is mainly used for the protection and control of belt conveyor. It joins dust protection based on the existing eight protections, and they are speed protection, coal heaping protection, running deviation protection, smoke protection, over-temperature protection, emergency stop along lines, tear protection, tensioner protection and dust protection. It can voice alarm and show failure types, and has the centralized control and single machine operation function. Meanwhile, the system will also increase the automatic adjustment control about tensioner and running deviation.The protection and control system which will be designed in this paper is combined with DSP technology, Micro Control Unit (MCU) technology and sensor technology. Among, the sensor is responsible for data collection; DSP uses TI's TMS320LF2407 chips, which is used to receive signals sending by the sensor. When the signal is over-ranging, it will alarm and control suction of the relevant relay; MCU uses AT89C51 chips, which is used to receive signals sending by DSP, and display the fault type through the LCD. According to working principle of the system, software and hardware of the system are designed. Because of the protection and control system of belt conveyor is a multi-sensor system, this paper adopts Information Fusion. And according to the system's fusion structure model and Kalman filter and Fuzzy Logic complements and integrates the information of the multi-sensor system, so that the fusion results can describe accurately to the environment of the testing, and thereby improves the reliability and validity of the system. By testing and analysis, protection and control system of belt conveyor designed can effectively achieve protection and control of belt conveyor, and make staff of better understanding of belt conveyer status and to control through the display and communications.
