Thesis carries on a chemical project design of the process units whose annual outputs are 4 million tons of phosphorus trichloride and 2 million tons of phosphorus oxychloride. Compared with various production processes domestic and overseas, the thesis introduces the process chloridizing yellow phosphorus to produce phosphorus trichloride by chlorine gas. oxidizing phosphorus trichloride to produce phosphorus oxychloride by oxygen with phosphorus trichloride as dissolvent.The thesis expounds the basis and significance of the chemical project design. The thesis makes market analysis and estimates on phosphorus trichloride and phosphorus oxychloride, carries on the design of process, "three wastes" treatment and production safety and materials calculation, and determines the utilities ideas and principles, as well as preparing the corresponding engineering drawings.The design result shows that after the completion of the project with annual outputs of 4 million tons of phosphorus trichloride and 2 million tons of phosphorus oxychloride, the main technical and economic indices have reached advanced domestic level. The project complies with the state's industrial policies and the plan of industrial development and promotes local economic development whose economic and social benefit is remarkable.
