The processing of diamond wire saw is complex due to its structure which leads to the unique way of flexible manufacturing in cutting process and long processing arc zone. Compared to the cutting process of the other diamond tools, the diamond wire saw has a long-term in the area of cutting arc which causes the rapid damage. In the cutting process of long arc area ,the diamond wire saw is damaged mainly in the wear of diamond beads and rope broken, which have a great relationship with cutting edge arc region,the reasonable cutting vibration and sawing speed in cutting processing and the reasonable wire saw. Therefore, in order to reduce the damage to the rope and extend the service life of wire saw, the cutting load distribution in arc area, saw craft and developing must be considered in wire saw cutting process. In current the research in this area only is in the theory, practical research is still in the blank stage.Considering saw long arc area flexible machining features, special jig is designed for the experiment in order to accurately detect sawing arc zone at various points or segments load, meanwhile in measuring process ensure complete arc area shape.Taking into account the relationship among the cutting arc area load , the measured arc area length, the different position of cutting arc area and the cutting parameters ,such as speed wire saw, feed speed, beaded rope cutting load signals in arc area are collected and analysised in the Labview. On this base, further studying on the distribution of feature in Wire Saw Arc load is reaserched, finally we can sum up as follows:First, according to the processing characteristics of wire saws, a special experimental required clamping fixture was designed and manufactured, which is to ensure the integrity of the zone of the arc, and can measure the different position load in cutting arc region.Second, measure the different thickness of workpiece in the middle point of arc, cutting force Fx On the micro-segment showed a decreasing trend with the increase of measurement thickness of the workpiece, and cutting force by power calculating little change, and the general trend Fz increase with the increase of measurement thickness of the workpiece.Third, dividing the cutting arc area into seven points averagely and measuring, we conclutes the Load distribution: the arc load show a decrease trend from starting to the end, and it is more obvious when the greater feed rate.Four, cutting parameters affect the cutting load in different positions of arc area, and the load in starting position is more affected, and the trend show a decrease with nearing the end of cutting area.
