Research On Mould For Ribbon Cage And CAPP System

The mould becomes more and more important in modern production and life. It makes raw material take shape by a certain processing way. As a kind of product with higher added value and technology, the mould's manufacturing level can indicate the level of a country's manufacturing industry. Therefore, the research of mould manufacturing process becomes a must for the mould practitioner at present.This paper designs the forming mould of ribbon cages. It introduces and analyzes the structure and use of the mould, and makes a three-dimensional solid modeling and the process cards for the key components of the mould such as riveting mould, concave forming mould, stripper plate and convex mould base. According to their own structures and use characteristics of the needed moulds, facing the mould processing and complying with the requirements of the production and management, the demand analysis and total design for the function of the mould are carried out. Adopting the method of facing the object, CAPP system of mould manufacturing is build up with the main data of the product as the core and interactivity as the foundation in accordance with the process information model of CAPP system, and widely used in Tool & Tooling Company of Harbin Bearing Group Corp. According to the analysis of process database of CAPP system, the research of building method of typical process database and the characteristics of mould structure and actual uses, the classification of the process is made as per the tree structure; the consulting method of using the representative processes as the basic unit and the research of process routine are conducted, so that automated retrieval as per similar forms or similar processing routines is realized.CAPP system is applied to the process establishment and management in Tool & Tooling Manufacturing Company of Harbin Bearing Group Corp.
