Research And Development Of CAPP System For Injection Mold

With the rapid development of the plastic industry, the proportion of plastic mold in the mold industry is getting bigger and bigger. The processing precision and efficiency of plastic mold determine the plastic part's quality. In this paper according to the modern processing character of plastic mold, the CAPP technology is introduced into plastic mold's processing, and then some research is made as follows:With studying the applying and development actuality of CAPP from home to abroad, this text analyses the feature of modern mold processing. We may know that it is very difficult that establishing general CAPP system. So special CAPP system which is fit for some factories can be formed;According to the character of mold parts that standard parts and non-standard parts make up of mold, classifying mold parts as molding frame and molding parts;Molding frame is standard part and its following process is simple, so it can be obtained by searching mechanism;Emphatically analyzing number control (NC) processing which is used widely in modern manufacturing and then suggesting the programming code system which is used for NC processing. The modern NC processing is made by CAM module of mechanical software generally. The course seems to realize numeric, but the experience of the processing engineer determines the quality of NC program. The code system can make new programmer produce good processing in shortest time;The molding parts'processing is obtained by the case-based Reasoning mechanism because of the complexity of NC process.According to the above study, the special CAPP system for the injection mold is developed. After applying the system in real manufacturing, it is seen that the processing efficiency is improved, which will have profound effect for complete numeric processing.
