This paper introduces a gap measuring device for monitoring the brake clearances of coal mine hoist drawwork disc brakes. The whole system consists of the master controllor, the signal acquisition devices and the monitor.The master controllor takes using of C8051F310 microcontroller as the core processor, with data communication circuits, LCD display circuit, correction coefficient setting circuit, graphics selection circuit, output control circuit.The signal acquisition devices are multi-channel loop detection extensions for the detection of displacement sensors, with data communications and sensor signal detection functions; thair core processors are also C8051F310 microcontroller.The internal 10-bit A / D converter module of C8051F310 microcontroller is used to detecting the eight displacement sensors, saving the outside A/D conversion circuit. C8051F310 microcontroller also features on-chip FLASE RAM memory, saving discrete EEPROM memory chip and simplifying the hardware design circuit.The imported high-precision displacement sensors are eddy current contactless sensors, with a wide linear range, good stability, consistency, higher characteristic.The master controllor can access two or four signal acquisitions, The whole system is a microcontrollers DCS distributed net and can be connected with up to 32 displacement sensors.The master controllor communicates with the signal acquisition devices by the RS-485 bus. The software is programmed by assembly language and can works stably and normally.The entire device has been debuged successfully, and has been in field use. Every function meets the needs of field, with favorable results, achieving the desired design objectives...
