With the development of social economy, the dosage of circulating cooling water is greatly used in industry. In order to improve the water environment, promote saving water, and improve the degree of water resources and environmental protection, research and development of multi-functional water treatment agent with the scale, corrosion and sterilization properties has become an important aspect. This paper focuses on researching two types of water treatment agent of the preparation and performance:In this paper, the polyaspartic acid(PASP) was synthesized using maleic anhydride and ammonia as raw materials. The structure of the product was characterized by infrared spectrum and NMR, the viscosity-average molecular weight of PASP was measured by viscometry, scale inhibition performance was analyzed by static anti-scaling method, corrosion inhibition of the inhibitor PASP was measured by weight-loss method, respectively, and biodegradation were measured by shaking-bottle incubating test. The scale and corrosion inhibitions of PASP was evaluated and compared with hydrolyzed polymaleic anhydride(HPMA) and amino trimethylene phosphonic acid(ATMP). Copolymer of PASP obtained at 160℃for 60min with n(maleic anhydride):n(ammonia)= 1:1.1, was the best in inhibiting scale forming. From the experimental results of the analysis, the results revealed that the scale inhibitions of PASP and ATMP were much better than that of HPMA at a dosage of 6.4mg·L-1; When the dosage of PASP is up to 40mg-L-', its corrosion inhibition reached 90%, in the same experimental conditions, the corrosion inhibition of PASP was superior to that of ATMP and HPMA; The biodegradable of PASP is studied by COD, it shows biodegradable rate is about 70% and biodegradable easily.A new inorganic solid water treatment agent was prepared by using sodium carbonate, silica, silver nitrate, aluminum hydroxide, potassium carbonate and boric acid as raw materials in accordance with certain proportion, using high-temperature calcination technology in muffle furnace to obtain amorphous solid. The solid water treatment agent met industry requirements, including each component:sodium carbonate 31.0%, silica 17.4%, boric acid 40.8%, aluminum hydroxide 2.0%, silver nitrate 1.0%, potassium carbonate 7.8% through lots of experiments. Prepared in accordance with the formula of solid water treatment agent, soluble days were approximately 192 days, the inhibition rate reached 91% at a dosage of 120mg·L-1, the corrosion rate was in the range of 83%-89%, with highly effective and long-lasting sterilization bacteriostasis.
