This paper took the ultrasonic technology into the synthesis process, and prepared amino-silicone oil by catalytic balance method, via using octamethylcyclotetrasiloxane (D4) as monomer, N-β-aminoethyl-γ-aminopropylmethyldimethoxysilane (DL-602) as aminosilane coupling agent, dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) as promoting agent, hexamethyldisiloxane (MM) as capping agent, potassium hydroxide (added in the form of alkali glue) as catalyst. Compared with traditional heating method (oil bath heating method), both the viscosity, hydrodynamic radius of amino-silicone oil prepared under the ultrasonic irradiation, and conversation rate of monomer is higher, and its distribution is narrower. Besides, the ultrasonic irradiation can increase the efficiency of catalyst, in order to decrease the amount of it.Under the ultrasonic irradiation, the effects which the reaction conditions had on viscosity of amino-silicone oil and conversation rate of monomer were studied, and the synthesis condition was optimized as follows: reaction temperature is 90℃, ultrasonic power is 160W, ultrasonic time is 60min, reaction time is 8h and the amount of DMSO, MM and KOH is 0.8%, 0.15%, 0.03% of the mass of D4.A series of amino-silicone oil products with different viscosity and ammonia value were synthesized under ultrasonic irradiation. The effects which the viscosity and ammonia value of amino-silicone oil had on the performance (including combing, foaming and stability of viscosity) of shampoo were studied systematically, which was assessed through multi-indexes comprehensive evaluation method. The result shows that the performance of shampoo with amino-silicone oil whose ammonia value is medium and viscosity is between medium and low level is the best, closed to which is the amino-silicone oil with low ammonia value and medium or high viscosity.The performance of shampoos with homemade and amino-silicone oil samples from domestic and foreign companies for each was assessed and compared. The result shows that the homemade amino-silicone oil works obviously on improving combing ability, smoothness and flexibility of hair, and has a slight influence on foaming and stability of viscosity of shampoo, which is better than samples. The surface of hair was observed by SEM. The result shows that the homemade amino-silicone oil can smooth the hair scale, make its texture neat, and improve the surface situation of hair well.All in all, the amino-silicone oil prepared under ultrasonic irradiation has excellent performance, powerful competitiveness compared with samples, and good market prospect.
