Embedded technology plays a more important role in medical treatment and electronic aspects with the development of integrated circuit and computer technology in recent years. ARM Cortex-M3 processor is kind of advanced processor. It adapts high real-time application and it is allowed the cooperation partner to develop widely used equipment, including microprocessor, cars system, industry control and wireless network and sensors with the low cost comparing with the high performance. The processor provides excellent computing capability and quick response to event, as well as it can challenge the low dynamic and static power. The processor can be configured freely and support wide realization from those that need memory protection and strong trace technology to those that require small area and are sensitive to cost.Air-loom is one of the fast modern shuttle less loom. It has good capability, low maintain cost and high weft rate. During the whole loom market, it has a stage position. Using Cortex-M3 processor into air-loom weft control system. On one hand, it can reduce product cost, on the other hand, it has a important meaning for improving our nation's middle and high level air-loom technology, as well as a reference for other shuttle less looms.This paper mainly includes two parts:hardware design and software design. The hardware aspect is about the main board based on Cortex-M3, power circuit board and drive board. The software aspect is mainly about using craft circle method to realize the weft control of air-loom using MDK software.
