In recent years, the textile industry has a rapid development, especially in the development of the jet loom. Air-jet loom has the advantages of process simple, high efficiency, energy saving and environmental, gradually replacing the shaft loom and water jet loom. As the developing of textile industry, there are more demands to the function of the jet loom. The key technology is improve the control system if we want to improve the air-jet loom weaving speed and weaving quality.So a good air jet loom need to have a good control system. Compare to all technology, it is no doubt that embedded system is a good choice. Because In recently years the embedded system has a rapidly development and used in all aspects. The application has becoming more mature and plays important role.This paper is base on above idea. Use embedded technology in the weft control systems of air-jet looms. As we know, the control of weft is the key technology in the control systems. Therefore, we designed a control panel for it. In the panel we use the ARM as the processor. In Software we use craft circle as algorithm, and using the state machine to implement software control. The entire system by means of receiving control signal of PLC, receiving weft angle value set by touch screen, receiving angle value detect by encoder, Passover the fast ARM processor and accuracy, accurately and stably control system was established.Embedded technology applied to air-jet looms, pushed jet looms into a higher level. This article will introduce the concrete realization of the control system from both hardware and software. The hardware was described in detail in the realization of the circuit and the ideas. The software we introduce the detail of design. Finally, show the results in the actual production.
