AutoCAD has been widely applied in the design of each field.It is a plane software which possesses wide clients. Pressure vessel is the frequently used equipment in petroleum chemical industry, one of the typical welding structure. Our nation specially draws up the standard of pressure vessel and accessorial component like GB150, HG20580, ect.Currently, the use of AutoCAD is plain-designing in most situations, it is rarely to see that 3D modeling technology is used in pressure vessel design. The combination of AutoCAD technology and pressure vessel design, especially the use of 3D modeling technology will highly improve the design efficiency. Therefore, designing a set of plugin which is used in pressure vessel design can improve the design environment of AutoCAD, it also has important meaning relatve to related software's development.In this paper we use AutoCAD VBA as the developing language, we combine parameterized drawing and Access database technology, design the automatic drawing plugin of flange classes components, expanded the CAD's function, reduce the repeated drawing work load of designers through writing functions,applying attribute blocks, the research of API and Windows's interaction technique. The designed plugin is convenient and practical.In this paper we take pressure vessel supporting type bearing as an example, the coordinate transform in 3D modeling environment,surface domain, stretching, rotation, Boolean operations and some base fuctions were studied by us,and we also lead Access database technology into the study,we has highly increased the efficiency of 3D modeling in supporting type bearing.Meanwhile, we also take study on pipeline path planning in pressure vessel system in our design, pipeline connection between epuipments's 3D modeling plugin was ecploited out by us,it improves the modeling efficiency of pressure vessel pipes connection,expand the parametric design idea of conversion of 2D to 3D. Applying the technology can make the 3D design become more tridimensional, vivid and efficient, it has great value for the optimizing pipeline layout in the design.The content in this paper has high meaning for promoting pressure vessel CAD, it lays a good foundation for the latter CAD design subject on pressure vessel welding structure and process, also has important implications for other industrys'CAD parametric design and 3D automatic modeling.
