With the rapid development of modern mechanical design method, parametric design method is playing their strengths. This method can greatly improve the production efficiency of model and the modify of speed, it has great application value in similar design、the development of special CAD system and in the series of products design,. The traditional design method mainly based on the manual, and the process is very cumbersome. The parametric design can reduce the large number of repetitive work, greatly improve the design efficiency and quality of work.Take the energy efficient mine drainage pump as the research object, the design parameters is carried on the system, and the parameters of system is managed. In order to make the pump system is the completed parametric system, due to the very complex and can not be three-dimensional parametric spatial structure and bearing box, a2D Parametric is designed on it. The main contents is as follows:(1) a three-dimensional parametric design systemThe3D parametric design works in Visual studio2005.NET environment. It based on Pro/E software platform, in Pro/TOOLKIT combined with Pro/Program ways of parametric design, through the invocation parameters achieve regeneration model.(2) the design of2D parametric systemThe2D parametric design use AutoCAD software as platform in the VB6.0environment through the using of program control and manipulation of AutoCAD software with VB language programming. Then it achieves the opening of AutoCAD software for drawing and editing operation in the program running condition.(3) drawing creationAlthough the three-dimensional model provides complete geometry information, the2D engineering is more valuable than3D model. In the3D parametric design, the environment configuration file and drawing configuration file is set to Pro/E, the parametric design realization of engineering drawing template. Pro/TOOLKIT application generate engineering drawings.(4) database management model and engineering drawingIn order to storage and management of the generated model and engineering drawing more convenient, the advantages of a powerful data processing ability and graphics data aided management of SQL Server2005create database management system. The design of database program design and man-machine interface achieves the3D model and2D engineering drawing storage, open and delete functions.The paper realizes parametric design of energy saving and high efficiency mine drainage pump, improve the design efficiency, and avoid a lot of repeated work on series design process.
