In recent years, with the accelerated pace of construction in new socialist rural area and the urbanization, the volume of the categories and compositions of the domestic waste in rural area have changed from simplification to diversification. According to the survey in Ministry of Health, the production of domestic waste in rural area in 2009 was nearly 300 million tons. Due to the lack of effective management, especially the waste collection and transportation management, lots of domestic wastes were stacked disorderly and discarded, some of which would go directly into rivers or enter the water with the rain, causing serious pollution in the surrounding environment. In most of the rural areas which take the development of poultry breeding industry as the economic base, the technology of anaerobic digestion has got a good promotion and popularization. According to its theorem, it can not only be applied in the treatment of livestock manure, but also can it achieve the waste resource recovery in rural area. However, the practical application cannot be carried out since the restriction of some special situations, which needs a support of reasonable collection and transportation system as a result. The collection and transportation system of domestic waste in rural area has played an important role in the treatment system of domestic waste. In the design of the specific mode of waste collection and transportation, integrated decision should be made on basis of the site-specific research and analysis. In this paper, combined with features and advantages of rural areas which take the development of poultry breeding industry as the economic base(such as Shangpo Village, Jimo City, Shandong Province), the corresponding mode of waste collection and transportation was explored in depth with a variety of theoretical support, to contribute to the subsequent waste resource recovery. Finally, the objective analysis and evaluation were made by using the multi-attribute decision model, which was designed to find a new way for the collection and transportation mode of domestic waste in rural area.
