Product Design Strategy. Oriented Industry Segments

Professional is an important direction of the development of industrial design. To make sure industrial design survive and develop, we must insist on the professional road of industry segmentation. One profession, one strategy. It can solve the problems between schools of design and enterprises, such as students and production are out of touch, students can not design satisfactory woks for the enterprise.Professional design starts from industrial design, is based on characteristics of each profession. It studies the innovation of industrial design. The cut point is demands of product innovation of each profession. To enable students to integrate the environment of design more quickly and design the product that manufacturers can produce, the study of professional design has become an urgent problem that the education of industrial design now facing.On the basis of studying the strategy of industrial design, this article discusses the proposal and present situation of the point that strategy facing industry segmentation. It analysis the industry needs and the meaning, characteristics, basic principles, methods of professional design in-depth. It sets the aeromodelling industry and the electrical industry as examples, based on the needs of industry innovation of each, studies the methods and strategies of each profession about industrial design.On the basis of the above, this paper sums up the definition of professional design, establishes the industry classification for industrial design, summaries the strategy of industrial design within industry segmentation. It leads the students become industrial designers, and then shift to professional designers for one profession, in order to design a real product for one profession.
