Study On Maintenance For Freeway's Asphalt Pavement Of Central Plains

China has experienced rapid development of freeway construction. Freeway construction and operation has greatly fueled the economic growth and the social development. As more and more freeway is on operation, the maintenance of pavement has become the most important part of road management. Because of the influence of the increase of traffic flow and load, climate and hydrology and so on, many pavement disease of highway have premature arisen, such as crack of the pavement, ruts, pits and frost boiling. The service performance of pavement declines in short order. How to effectually and timely prevent the pavement and to manage disease has become focal point of study and work of road maintenance.The maintenance of asphalt pavement of freeway is a systemic engineering, to work it, first we need to make pavement test and investigation in detail, to analyze cruising data, to evaluate the condition of the pavement, and, to draw up reasonable plan to control it and to carry it out rapidly.This paper bases on the maintenance of some freeway of middle Henan province, and enumerates common disease and measurement of freeway in central plains of China, analyzes the causation and characteristics of it, elaborates the character estimate and maintenance method of the pavement performance of Henan freeway, in the meantime. The paper also explores preventive maintenance of pavement, advances the preventive maintenance system and the opportunity which is suit for Central Plains, and analyses the characteristic of some preventive maintenance measures and application with combines the cases of preventive maintenance of Henan province.
