With the development of social economy and the progress of science andtechnology, the scale of highway network expands unceasingly, the highway levelenhances unceasingly, the scale of expressway mileage is growing unceasingly and alarge number of low-grade highway reconstruction and extension. In the process ofhighway construction and development, the issues of asphalt pavement maintenancehas received more and more widespread concern and attention. The planning of roadnetwork and the present situation of asphalt pavement need maintenance urgently,both of which indicates that China has entered the era of road construction andmaintenance are equally important. In order to keep the pavement in a good servicecondition, reduce the incidence of road surface disease, delay the development ofearly disease, prolong the service life of pavement, reduce road maintenance costs,according to the changes of asphalt pavement performance, to select maintenancetime and technology reasonably, to implement pavement preventive maintenance, thatfor the road itself and the sustainable development of social economy has importantsignificance.The highway construction needs to go the road of sustainable development, toprovide the green road more safe, comfortable, environmental protection and resourceconservation. Green maintenance is in pursuit of high efficiency, low consumption,environmental protection and priority to environmental protection for the principle,required to achieve the organic unity of environmental protection, economic benefitsand social benefits. Green maintenance is based on sustainable development, advocateno pollution, high efficiency and energy saving, require to save resources, energy,materials and water in the process of maintenance and construction, recycle and reuseof waste materials, to minimize the impact on the environment.This paper based on the typical early diseases of highway asphalt pavement, toanalyze the causes of disease and the influence on pavement function. According tothe highway asphalt pavement dominate damage type, severity, road grade, traffic andother technical factors, put forward the appropriate preventive maintenance measuressets for cracks, rutting, insufficient flatness, lack of skid resistance, loose diseases andother diseases. This paper is on the basis of the green road evaluation system andgreen construction evaluation system, to propose the concept of green maintenance, using the multi-level fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method, from technical factors,environmental impact, resource recycling, traffic and operational impact angle toestablish evaluation system of green maintenance.Then make comprehensiveevaluation sort to the main preventive maintenance technology, to proposesuggestions for green maintenance, to ensure more reasonable select of maintenancemeasures.In this paper, take a highway in Chongqing for example, analyse the pavementperformance test data, make sure the pavement damage type and severity, accordingto the green maintenance evaluation indicators to determine the set of preventivemaintenance technology, then use the comprehensive evaluation sort to determine thatthe most green maintenance technology is Hot in-place recycling technology. Hotin-place recycling technology with good environmental benefits, with the lowemissions, low noise and small pollution on the environment in the process ofconstruction; can make full use of old asphalt mixture, saving raw materials andreduce construction cost, to realize recycling use of resources;construction work timeis short and the influence on public transport is little.
