Nowadays, the continuous and rapid increase in the traffic volume, protruding phenomenon of channelized traffic as well as the rut problem have been evolved into the main forms causing early damage to the asphalt pavement. Anti-rut agent have been become the effective measure to improve the pavement performance of the asphalt pavement and guarantee its service life due to its desirable modification function and cheap price. This paper further studies pavement performance and modification mechanism of anti-rut modified asphalt mixture by selecting KenTeLai pavement composite reinforcing agent as the additive based on referring to the research achievements in anti-rut agent at home and abroad.Anti-rut agent refers to the mixture composed of various high polymers, whose application similar to that of the additive widely applied in cement concrete. It features convenient use, simple operation and good matching. It not only maximally enhances the high temperature anti-rut capacity of asphalt mixture but also shows up certain improvement effect on other pavement performances. This paper evaluates the modification effect of KTL pavement composite reinforcing agent under the different addition amount by dint of advantages and disadvantages of each index of pavement performance.To sum up, after performing mix ratio design of different addition amount first, the influence law of the mix ratio of the additive in matrix asphalt mixture is achieved. Based on this, evaluate the main pavement performances of the asphalt mixture under different addition amount and verify pavement feasibility of new type additive. Then propose the method to determine the optimal addition amount of KTL composite reinforcing agent through data analysis and test verification. Evaluate the anti-aging performance of the KTL modified asphalt mixture by adopting oven heating method to provide technical basis for choosing proper addition amount of KTL composite reinforcing agent.The regression formula of the optimal petroleum KTL composite reinforcing agent addition amount is Y=0.8714X+0.0428. The optimum oil stone ratio of the composite reinforcing agent increases by about 0.3% when 0.4% addition amount is increased each time. The application of KTL composite reinforcing agent ensures the water stability and cryogenic property is not influenced while high temperature stability performance is increased maximally. More, it is positively significant to improve the ageing-resistant performance of the asphalt mixture. The paper suggests adopting the mixing technology of adding 90s KTL composite reinforcing agent, asphalt as well as mineral powder respectively, taking 185℃as the mixing temperature with the optimum addition amount of 5.9%-7.9%. The pavement performance of the asphalt mixture within this scope is generally desirable.
