Multistory brick building with bottom story frame is a kind of structure with rigid upper stories and flexible bottom. In the earthquake effect, structural large lateral deformation occurs in bottom story because of its weak stiffness, especially, large lateral displacement in the bottom will inevitably lead to serious damage of bottom story frame, and cause houses collapse. Therefore, how to improve performance of hybrid masonry-concrete structures becomes an urgent task. As is known to all, energy dissipation device installed in the proper positions of the structure will reduce structural seismic response of the system. But up to now, the existing damping device has some shortcomings, and there have been few research data about hybrid masonry-concrete structures installed energy dissipation device. Therefore, thorough study on passive damping control system used hybrid masonry-concrete structures is important both in theoretical research and engineering for improve structural performance.This paper, according to features of the multistory brick building with bottom story frame, the two new type of SMA composite damping device based on shape memory alloy superelasticity and high damping characteristics combined with the traditional damper were designed. The principle of the machine and the interrelated mechanics theory of the two new type damper is properly set up. Mechanical properties of SMA complex damper is researched by numerical simulation used MATLAB programming. The results show that:the design of two kinds of SMA composite damping instruments in this paper have good capability of energy consumption, simple structure, and it can be used conveniently in the application of the vibration control of multistory brick building with bottom story frame.The programs of the seismic response of the structure equipped in the new type HSMAFD damper based on Matlab are worked out. The six-storey multistory brick building with bottom story frame, for instance, damped effect and synthesis performance of the new type HSMAFD damper is studied. Three structural system including archetype structure, passive energy dissipation structures and multistory brick building with bottom story frame and shear wall are compared and analyzed. The results show that the new type HSMAFD damper can effectively reduce the seismic response of multistory brick building with bottom story frame, and structral seismic behavior is improved significantly. Given randomness of seismic ground motion, the stochastic seismic response of the structures including linear system and nonlinear system are concluded, and random-vibration analysis about SMA multistory brick building with bottom story frame is presented. Based on structural reliability theory, reliability index of the earthquake reaction of the structure including control and uncontrol was contrasted, the result shows that the system reliability of SMA multistory brick building with bottom story frame is improved dramatically.At Last,this paper make some helpful discussion on seismic design and optimize for multistory brick building with bottom story frame. Design procedures of the decomposition method of the mode of vibration and damping ratio apply to hybrid masonry-concrete structures is givened. Optimization project for hybrid masonry-concrete structures used genetic algorithm is presented, and the research results provide important theory foundation for optimization design of hybrid masonry-concrete structures.
