The placing-in and taking-out shunting is important for the freight station and the technical station with a lot of cargo hangding operations,its oeration efficiency has a close bearing on the railway's competition and company's mangement. So the study on placing-in and taking-out shunting is not only to improve station's economic benefit and the on-schedule rate of departure trains, but also to accelerate wagon turnover, to shorten freight delivery time,to increase many other transportation production indexes.This study centers on the placing-in and taking-out shunting, focuses on theory research. Making full use of existing theory during the study and integrating qualitative requirements with quantitative constraints, the dissertation studies the number, moment, sequence problems and related factors and algorithm of placing-in and taking-out by adopting many methods such as system science, graph theory, combining optimization theory, etc.The contents mainly include the following aspects:(1)The paper introduces placing-in and taking-out of wagons's concept, process models and categories, discusses several ways to compress working wagon's residence time at station, according to some subjective and objective reasons.(2)Analyzing the relationship between placing-in and taking-out's number and moment,at the same time,the number's solution have been brought into the moment's Category. Discusses decomposing and marshalling moment, cargo operation moment and wagon flow organization of working wagon, which effects the moment largely. A linear programming mathematical model is established by assuming conditions, whose constraint condition is according with timely departures and so on, and objective function is the minimum consumption of placing-in and taking-out.(3)Several quasi state transition equations are established for branch-shaped sidings by introducing the time for handing a wagon, according to different placing-in and taking-out models and objective function. At the same time, a mathematical model is established for actinoid private line, whose optimized target is the minimum consumption of vehicle kilometer, during the model's solving, we find when we decide the optimal placing-in and taking-out sequence for actinoid private line, priority selection higher efficiency handling operation site is always favorable for the final result.(4)Corresponding ant colony algorithm is designed for branch-shaped sidings's placing-in and taking-out sequence. An example is sloved by dynamic programming algorithm and ant colony algorithm respectively, the paper compares the different solving result and then analysises the reason at last.To sum up, the paper concluded the research working and existing problems, and the further work is prospected.
