With the growing energy demand and the gradual depletion of fossil energy, as green energy, the wind energy is increasingly becoming important for energy development. Wind farm constructing has been accelerated in many countries around the world. With the proportion of wind power in the grid increasing, some disadvantages of wind power systems take more notice. As wind energy has the characteristics of random and intermittent, large-scale wind power pulled-in grid will threat the stability of the grid. Therefore we must restrain the wind power output fluctuation, when large-scale wind power system building. In addition, administration has establishing regulations for the wind power fluctuation. So this problem in wind power must be solved in rapidly. This paper studies energy storage systems used in wind power, to smooth and improve the output power quality of wind power transmission.Firstly, study the double-fed wind power generation system model, respectively, raised the rotor side converter and the network-side converter control strategy to achieve maximum power tracking. Then simulations of the wind power system verify the effectiveness and dynamic stability.Secondly, study of the various types of energy storage technologies. Combined with the characteristics of wind power, propose two storage forms fitting for wind power system. In-depth studies of the vanadium flow battery model, simulation has been carried out and reach the reliability and validity.Propose distributed and centralized storage system topology and respectively equipped with a super capacitor and vanadium flow battery. Building super capacitor energy storage system model and vanadium flow battery storage system simulink model, and verify the structure and function of two energy storage efficiency.Last discuss the proper form for large-scale wind power energy storage. And in-depth study of the energy storage system capacity value method, propose a 1-order low-pass filter based on the stored energy value model selection method, this method has to use simple features, in practice with a strong operational.
