Passenger special lines are building in most part of China; the design of stub-end yard was used in large high-speed passenger station. Stub-end station is different from through-type car yard which are used commonly. Because the nature of train's station operations and the proportion are not the same, carrying capacity of stub-end car yard and through-type car yard will be different. Although they have the same number of reception-departure tracks. Therefore it is necessary to study the relationship between stub-end car yard's number of reception-departure tracks, carrying capacity of reception-departure track and percentage of capacity utilization. We can achieve a reasonable investment into passenger stations to meet the needs of the passenger.This paper has guiding significance for organization of station operation and design of stations and yards.The first three chapters of this paper reasearch occupied time of station throat, optimized utilization of arrival and departure track and occupied time of reception-departure track. And take South Beijing Railway Station yard as an illustrative example, and the optimized utilizations of arrival and departure tracks were given. This paper decribe high-speed passenger special lines' features of train-style, train-number and train's station operations. Combined with the first three chapters' consulutions, stub-end car yard's number of reception-departure tracks and percentage of capacity utilization's matching problem was carefully studied. According to the Beijing South Railway Station's utilization of arrival and departure tracks, percentage of capacity utilization of reception-departure tracks was caculated in the end of this pape. And combined with the fourth chapter, the current status of jing-jin yard of Beijing South Railway Station was analyzed.The harmonizing between capacity of throat and carrying capacity of reception-departure track is very complex. When the paper entangles optimized utilization of arrival and departure track and carrying capacity of reception-departure track, this factor isn't taken into account.
