Nowadays, the passenger dedicated lines are constructed everyplace in China for keeping up with the growth of the travel demands. The station distribution is very important in the construction of the passenger dedicated lines as it’s the joint of many traffic modes and it’s also the place for the travellers to be aggregated and evacuated. There were many papers researched on the passenger dedicated line stations distributed problem before. This paper researched this prolem from the view of the lines’construction and operation. There are two main parts of this research, one is on the optimation of the distance between the stations and the other one is on the distribution of multiple stations in one hub.First, the paper describes the basic theories of the passenger dedicated lines and the stations include the concepts, functions, characteristics and the transportation organisition. Then this paper defined the station distribution problem and researched on the influence factors of this problem based on the concepts and characteristics before.Second, this paper researched on the optimation of the distances between the stations of the passenger dedicated lines. The steps to optimal the distance between the stations will be obtained by analysising the princeple and the influence factors of the optimation. The distance between the stations can be optimaled in3views include travel speed, capacity and the operation of the lines.Third, this paper researched on the evaluation of the station. The evaluation method was used to optimal the distribution of the stations based on the principle and the influence factors of the station distribution.
