Composite structure of channel-brick masonry is very suitable for large space and quick dismantles wall transformation, but the research of force performance is rarely. In this paper, based on a lot of engineering practices, put forward a new kind of combination form for channels-brick masonry, and through the experimental study and theoretical calculation method, the bearing capacity of channels-brick masonry composite structure for this form is studied.The test of three channel-brick masonry composite beams under static loads is conducted, to seek the failure process and the shape, bearing capacity, load-deflection curves, strain distribution of mid-span and loading point section, strain development of short reinforced of beams. Test results show that channel and brick masonry work very well based on the combination of short steel. Composite beams damage began with local buckling and stability of channel upper flange after brick masonry crushed of loading point; the strain of mid-span channel webs accords with plane hypothesis because of strain distribution is linear along the section height; the bending stiffness of composite beams is bigger, the short reinforced can prevent and delay the pressure flexion and instability of channel webs effectively.Four new design models for combination of brick columns are brick columns wrapped with steel wire, reinforcement cage, channel and CFRP are established to adapt to the development of years and functions of retrofitting and actual engineering characteristics. An experimental study on the mechanical properties of the composite column is conducted for ten composite columns. The effect of materials and combinations on the mechanical properties of the composite column are discussed. The tests show that the four reinforcement approaches effectively raised the bearing capacity of the short column under axial compression and the ductility of the column improved well too.In the section of theoretical analysis. First of all, based on the actual forces of the composite beams, analyze that the carrying capacity of beams in various mechanical stage from the theoretically gradually; secondly, use small deflection curve equation, deflection curve equation is derived under the action of two concentrated forces, the bearing capacity of beams and destruction features are discussed from the deflection aspects; again, combine with the mechanical characteristics of composite beams, use the mechanical equilibrium theory, deduce calculation formulas of bearing capacity of the channel-brick masonry composite beams, deduce the verified bearing capacity of beams from two aspects of the top and bottom flange yield, and compare with the experimental data; finally, based the mechanical characteristics of outsourcing reinforced columns on different materials, different calculation formula and correlation coefficient of the bearing capacity are picked, bearing capacity of composite column under the various strengthening modes is discussed theoretically.Finally, the prospect that the channel-brick masonry structure applies to the large space and quick dismantles wall transformation of brick and concrete structure is analyzed and prospect.
