| In the glorious history of 30 years of reform and opening, China urban development zone has taken off across the start-up and growing stage, and entered the transformation journey from the "island" to "new town". In the function transformation process, the development zone is facing the dilemma of space structural imbalance, and traffic, social and environmental issues have emerged. To address these problems and promote the sustainable and innovative development of the development zone in the new era, the breakthrough point of this thesis is based on the causes of the space structural imbalance– the contradiction of space supply and demand, to reveal this contradiction and its causes, and explore the methods and strategies of the spatial structure optimization based on the supply and demand analysis.In terms of prospecting the issue-oriented research trends in the spatial structure, and elaborating the basic contents of the spatial structure with the main line of development, this paper carried out the research following three main contents. First, through the empirical study of the Yangtze River Delta development zone, revealed three types of space: production, housing, services with their contradiction between supply and demand and the overall characteristics, and in-depth analyzed the three major causes of the conflict. Second, clarified the contents of influencing factors of the supply and demand with the objectives of optimizing the supply and demand, then built the supply and demand optimal evaluation model. The last but not least, based on the tendency of the development zone space structure integration and governance innovation, and according to the optimization methods of space supply and demand, respectively put forward the corresponding spatial integration strategy and governance innovation policy.The main innovation points of this thesis are: First, it is helpful to fundamentally solve the problems in the spatial structure development in the research perspective of the spatial supply and demand, and using the methods of space organizations and governance safeguards means to adjust the supply and demand factors and alleviate its conflict. Second, based on the spatial supply and demand analysis to establish two evaluation models - the scale structure and layout structure, it can help for feedback and evaluation after the implementation of optimizing the development zone spatial structure. Third, through proposing empirical cases of the spatial structure integration model, it can provide a reference and experience for the development zone planning. |
