Chain drive is one of the important forms of mechanical drive, in engineering with a wide range of applications.researchers who are immersed in this field have never interrupted to study it. But most of the researches lay the emphasis on the theoretical analysis of the nonuniformity coefficient of chain drive's speed and don't conduct enough experiments for testing it. Practice is the sole criterion for testing truth. This paper has completed the research on the nonuniformity coefficient of speed of chain drive and has analyzed the data of the experiment. Firstly, the paper analyzes the chain drive based on the status of the researches at home and abroad. Secondly, introducing the chain and chain wheel and analyzing the characteristic of the mesh drive between chain and chain wheel. Thirdly, explaining the related testing system of the nonuniformity coefficient of speed of chain drive. Finally, analyzing and summarizing the experimental results.The testing of the experiment is mainly relied on the modern testing method. Firstly, the paper transforms the signals that measured though the sensor to the suitable electrical signals for the testing system to process, then detects, estimates, intelligently analyzes the signals via the computer and write the program based on LabVIEW to test the nonuniformity coefficient of speed of chain drive.The content of the experiment that has been tested are as following:1. The angular velocity of driven wheel when 08B single pitch roller chain mesh 08B single pitch roller chain sprocket;2. The angular velocity of driven wheel when 208B double pitch roller chain mesh 08B double pitch roller chain sprocket;The conclusions of the experiment:1. When the number of teeth of the drive and driven wheel have been determined, Most of experiments have proved that the nonuniformity coefficient of speed of driven wheel (δ) range is between the same phase (δ1) and the maximum different phase (δ2).2. The nonuniformity coefficient of speed of the specific driven wheel (δ0) will remain unchanged when the number of teeth (z2) of driven wheel varies while the drive wheel's (z1) is constant.3. The nonuniformity coefficient of angular velocity of the specific driven wheel (δ0) decreases as the number of teeth (z1) of drive wheel increases.4. When the double pitch roller chain meshes with the single pitch roller chain sprocket that has more teeth.the driving performance is much better than the double pitch roller chain meshes with the latter one that has less teeth. |
