Electrical equipment testing for the safe operation of electrical equipment has its important role in the power supply enterprises with high status and value, it is the important guarantee for electrical equipment safe and stable operation. In this paper, based on the site investigation of electrical equipment testing supply enterprises, electrical equipment testing is divided into the DC power supply testing, AC power testing, oil and gas testing and other classes such as four parts, and focuses on the AC power testing. Through the researching on the principles and methods of AC power testing, transformer load loss can be measured, no-load current measurement, load loss, impedance voltage measurement, short-circuit impedance measurement, zero sequence impedance measurement, variable ratio test, measurement of line parameters and some integrated into an experimental platform to test the conclusions. According to the conclusions of the development of a multi parameter measurement device, Atmel corporation AT89C55 used as a measuring and analyzing multi-functional micro-controller, and made the smallest single chip system design, use of Lattice's programmable logic devices to perform logic control chip, designed by the voltage and current acquisition circuit achieved the purpose of front-end signal conditioning to ensure the accuracy, used the A/D converter AD1674 of ADI to convert voltage and current signal, completed the hardware system design, at the same time, the multi parameter measuring software components was developed, completed the multi parameter measurement instrument.
