With the emphasis on the power distribution network management continues to deepen,the research and development of the distribution network analytical and calculating software has been paid more and more attention. The reliability evaluation of the distribution network is the basis of the structure optimization and economic operation. With the distribution network becoming enormous and complex,the modeling and calculation of distribution network become more difficult. How to find a balance between Accuracy and computational cost ,and how to find a fast , efficient and reliable method of calculating are problems to be solved.Therefore, the development of the visual software for reliability evaluation of distribution network is of great significance to the running, planning and design of the distribution network.Based on the comprehensive reading of references,this thesis explores analytical method , simulation method of the distribution network reliability evaluation algorithm and visualization applications in power systems,then mainly studies the minimal path method based on depth-first search.By adopting object-oriented programming technology and taking the VC #, GDI +that Microsoft has introduced as a tool to develop visual graphics platform of the distribution network, make it possible to the basic editing primitives, and automatic generation of network topology graph. On the basis of the visual graphics platform , it developed the visual software for reliability evaluation of distribution network. The software has the left view which has the stratification model of distribution network - substations - feeder; the right view which can enter the feeder topology graph; a powerful, structured graphics database module; a distribution network reliability calculation module;a vivid and intuitive reliability graphic display module.Take the IEEE RBTS-4 bus system as an example, verify the validity and usefulness of the software.Based on the graphic to enter graphical simulation platform modifications, such as the modifications of the failure rate of component change , the components of the fault repair time, the various components of the extent of reliability sensitivity analysis to find out the weak tache of the distribution network , suggest improvements methods.The software has the advantages of friendly interface,easy operation,easy main tenance,easy expansion and stronger generalization,etc.The application of the software has some practical value for the the operation and planning of the distribution network reliability data.
