The safety problems of construction engineering have been a common concern to experts and scholars at home and abroad. According to the research on this aspect, insufficient or improper investment is a universal cause. Besides, researches of this kind are mostly qualitative, lacking quantitative analyses.This paper centers on the optimization research on the safety economic revenues of construction engineering, conducted the following surveys:1. In light of the theory and related standards of safety economics and the reality of safety investment, the main factors that affect the safety investment has been categorized into five kinds, namely, labor protection investment, civilized construction, safety education investment, safety facility investment, safety management investment. An analysis has been made on the rules of output, investment, and the benefits of safety management in construction engineering.2. Grey correlation analysis has been applied to establish the grey correlation model between safety investment and accident damages. Citing a group of statistics from a construction project of a construction enterprise as an example, define the major and minor relationship among 5 factors behind accident damages in safety investment of construction engineering.3. Through the use of Cobb-Douglas production function and Econometrics, a quantitative model and an optimized model of safety economic return in construction engineering has been established. Citing a group of statistics from a construction project of a construction enterprise, define the optimal ratio of safety investment for maximum economic return of safety investment.This paper introduces Safety econometrics theory, Grey system theory, Econometrical theory and Mathematical modeling into construction engineering, the conclude of which provides scientific basis for safety production decisions of the enterprises. As a result, the loss of accident damages in construction engineering can be avoided or reduced. It is of great significance to the promotion of safety economic return for the construction enterprise.
