Study On Measure Of Safety Climate In Construction Engineering Team

Team is the most grass-roots organization in construction engineering site, construction safety accidents often occurred in the team. The study of construction engineering team’s safety climate is not only an important part of construction engineering safety climate, but also can help to prevent or reduce the occurrence of safety accidents. So it has important academic value and practical significance to do the research on the measure of construction engineering team’s safety climate.This paper follows research concepts of combining theory and practice, qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis. And an in-depth analysis on safety climate of construction engineering is made in systematic and process perspective. The research methods adopted in this paper include literature review, questionnaire survey, theoretical analysis and case study. The main contents are as follows:Firstly, the paper introduces research background and significance of safety climate. After a literature review and comments on current research of safety climate, the basic research concepts, content, structure, technical line and research methods of this dissertation are formed.Secondly, based on the management psychology theory, group dynamics theory, safety management theory and the theory of organizational support, the paper defines the meaning of construction Engineering team, construction team’s safety climate, in combination with Shared mental model, this paper analyses the characteristics of the construction team, states the formation mechanism of construction team’s safety climate.Thirdly, the preliminary dimension indicators of the construction team’s safety climate are analyzed. To ensure the rationality and accuracy of indicators, the expert interview method is used to readjust the dimension indexes. This paper introduces a questionnaire survey about the construction workers, the dimension indicators of construction team’s safety climate are identified through principal component analysis, which include 9 firstly level dimension and 28 secondary dimension, and build the measure scale of construction team’s safety climate.Finally, the SEM is applied to structure a measurement system of construction team’s safety climate, and then the internal mutual influence of indicators is analyzed. On the basis of the above research, the safety climate of scaffolder team in Jiangsu grand theater project is studied and measured.The main research outcomes of this dissertation are as follows:the concept and content of construction team and safety climate are defined; the formation mechanism of construction team’s safety climate is stated; the dimension indicators of construction team’s safety climate are identified; the measure scale of construction team’s safety climate is build; The measurement system of safety climate is structured. The research findings of this paper provide an operable measurement system of construction team’s safety climate, and it will perform a positive function in improving the construction team’s safety climate, and reducing safety accidents.
