The controllability and stability and the riding comfort is both very important to vehicle performance.The article makes some studies on the roll stability and riding comfort.This article starting from the system simulation and virtual prototyping technology, according to the vehicle's basic theory of virtual prototyping, BRT bus was described as system model composed of a number of rigid and deformable objects ,a mathematical model of vehicle.virtual simulation and optimization are taken.In the handling and stability analysis, firstly, the theoretical analysis is done,this article find the causes of poor handling and stability,and point out several major phenomenon about the instability of BRT bus. Second,on the basis of BRT model builded, this article further takes a preliminary analysis for lateral stability and ride comfort.In terms of passenger comfort, body-suspension system modal analysis is made finding the natural frequency.It is used for the research of the random road simulation.For the bad ride comfort,the article made a optimization analysis.At last,problem for the article is proposed and the next derection is also pointed out.Both from the theoretical and simulation aspects of BRT articulated buses were researched in this article.Improvement is proposed and the optimization simulation is made for the bad ride comfort of the rear compartment.The ride comfort of the back becomes better.
