| In economic globalization and the fierce market competition era, development cycle of the new product is the key factor for enterprises to win in the market competition. While the application of parts-library and CAD/CAPP/CAM integration system is the important measures which shorten the design cycle, improve the quality of product and reduce the cost of design and manufacturing. In the design of mechanical products, typical parts account for nearly 70% of the total mechanical parts. Cumbersome design of typical parts seriously reduces design efficiency and prolongs product development cycle. Here,study is concentrated on the parametric parts-library of typical parts and CAD/CAPP/CAM integration system, construct the parametric parts-library of typical parts and the framework of CAD/CAPP/CAM integration system, so as to shorten the cycle of product development, reduce the cost of product design and manufacturing, improve the design and manufacture level and improve the market competition of enterprises.In this paper, through analyzing UG main functional modules, the virtual parts-library technology and the development methods of the virtual parts-library at home and abroad, the key technologies and methods related to the development of virtual parts-library such as parametric design, feature modeling and database technology theories, as well as the development idea and method of parametric virtual parts-library of typical parts were studied systematically. First time put forward the concept of the?parametric virtual parts-library of non-standard typical parts. And the development ideas and methods of parametric virtual parts-library of typical parts were studied. Four categories of parametric virtual parts-library of typical parts such as shafts, gears, dishes and forks were established based on UG NX 7.5 platform by using UG/Open which is second development tools related to UG and Visual C++6.0, and the rapid design with dialog parameters inputting of non-standard typical parts was realized.And then further analyzed the application and development situation of CAD/CAPP/CAM integration system, and studied the key technologies such as parametric technology and features technology, information exchange technology, as well as integrated methods of CAD/CAPP/CAM integration such as by special data format, by standard data format and by uniform product model format. Then put forward and established the whole life cycle of product development of CAD/CAPP/CAM integration system framework. The system includes three subsystems, which are parametric design of typical parts, CAPP of typical parts and CAM of typical parts. It can be used to realize the rapid creation of four types of parametric design of typical parts and establishment of parametric virtual parts-library, the active generation of the machining process sheet of typical parts and the corresponding operation sheet, and virtual processing, virtual testing and automatic generation of NC code of typical parts. The system integrates seamlessly with UG system, and the interface of the system has good human-machine interaction. It runs fast and operates easily. It is of strongly practical value. |
