With the development of social economy and urbanism in china, the population and the number of car increase rapidly and lead to heavy traffic demand. Therefore, increasingly obvious contradiction between urban transport demand and supply exacerbates the situation of difficulty. Traffic jams problem becomes more and more serious in most china urban. At the same time, energy and environmental problems caused by those traffic problems seriously affects the healthy and rapid development of socio-economic,as well as the normal life of urban residents. The urban transport problems still need to be solved because of the increasing trend of urban transport motorized and the development of the automobile industry.Facing such serious urban transport problems, Public Transport Priority has been one of the effective ways of alleviating the problems of urban traffic congestion. Especially the research of bus signal priority control at intersections, it is an efficient technology to realize Transit priority. Therefore, this paper will research on public transportation signal priority control algorithm both single bus and bus stream at intersection. This paper's main content research as below:First of all, the paper gives an overview on the status quo of technical aspects of bus priority abroad and inland, based on this, make a described in detail on traffic priority definition and connotation, and illustrate specific theoretical method on specific priorities including the space priority and time priority. It introduces the bus lane setting conditions and setting methods, as well as sections dedicated road bus lane and intersection bus lane. It also introduces the common existing Check Technique of vehicles and bus, makes deep analysis their advantages and disadvantages of testing.Secondly, in order to explain priority control basic model, the paper researches traffic priority of one bus, takes the totle person delay of the intersection as the control objective, and builds the function of efficiency indicators.Research of the way of bus signal priority control based on the active priority. In order to make transit signal priority adapting to transit situation of China which has complex bus network and heavy bus traffic, the paper then focus on the signal control problem of multiphase scheme and high-level traffic demand, and proposes the agent control which is one of the intelligent control methods, taking the minimum"totle delay"as the goal of optimizing bus priority, design a signal priority control scheme based on Q-learning method.Finally, the paper takes one reality intersection for example, Via detecting its traffic flow information in-time. Thorough the method which is proposed in the core of the bus signal priority self-learning control, we can get the intersection delay. In order to compare effect between this algorithm and fixed-control, the last part mainly does some simulation operated via Matlab software. The simulation result has demonstrated that bus priority intelligent signal control mode can effectively reduce the vehicle and people'average delay.
