This thesis introduced a new digital electronic governor according to a analog electronic governor. The governor belongs to the double control system which to prevent too high-speed and idle instability. The digital electronic governor is included of three modules which are data acquisition system, data processing system and execution system. The data acquisition system is make up of speed signal of diesel engine,signal of the accelerator pedal and signal of gear lever location of the fuel injection pump, and the speed signal is collected by magnetoelectricity speed sensor,the accelerator pedal signal is simulated by rotating potentiometer,the signal of injecting pump toothed pole position is simulated by linear displacement sensor.The microcomputer data processing system is included of the processing of the previous three signal and the output part of the control proportional solenoid. The processing system dispose the signal of the accelerator pedal and the gear lever location which processing after AD converting and speed signal by fuzzy control algorithm. then the system make the proportional electromagnetic valve move in accordance with the control process by PWM control principle. The proportional electromagnetic valve is connected with the injecting pump toothed pole, thereby by this way it can boost gear lever action and realize the control of speed.This thesis also draw the characteristics of mechanical governor by MATLAB, and it also compares and analyzes characteristics graph PID algorithm and fuzzy algorithm , in the end it choose fuzzy membership functions as the control algorithm of this speed governor. fuzzy algorithm use multiplicative condition and COG method to realize this function.This thesis on digital electronic governor system both have control theory and exploration of experimental aspects of the summary, and make a foundation for the future diesel engine digital electronic speed system.Finally, it is proved that this electronic governor have has good speed stability and quicker in response when mounted on 1004GN diesel engine test-bed on 1500r/min and 1800r/min load characteristic test.
