Development And Research Of Electronic Control Speed Governor Of Diesel Engine

This paper introduced a new electronic controlled speed governor of diesel engine, which is developed and researched by author based on the basic principle and the work performance of mechanical speed governor of YC2118 diesel engine. The electronic controlled speed governor is made up of three function module: signal collection system, data disposal system and execute machine. The signal collection system collects the angle signal of accelerograph of diesel engine, the rotate speed signal of fuel-ejecting pump and the position signal of toothed bar of fuel-ejecting pump, which come from linear angle sensor, rotary coder and linear position sensor. The data disposal system is a Electronic Control Unit, whose core is a Single Chip Microcomputer, which deal with the data collected by signal collection system, and work out the accurate parameter to control execute machine base on the work capability and speed adjusting demand of fuel-ejecting pump by means of fuzzy theory. The execute machine is composed of step motor, screw thread transmission machine and lever machine whose main function is transform revolving movement of step motor to linear movement of toothed bar of fuel-ejecting pump. Execute machine drive tooth bar of fuel-ejecting pump to the needed position and to get the perfect quantity of fuel.It is proved by experiment that the electronic control speed governor newly developed can meet the practice demand of diesel engine, which is quicker in response and is better at effect of intelligent speed adjusting than mechanical speed governor.Compared with mechanical speed governor, the best merit of electronic control speed governor is that the control program of electronic control speed governor can be modified. Which caused electronic control speed governor can fit various diesel engine differed in power and different phase of the same diesel engine.
