New energy automobile has become a promising solution to the problems such as energy shortage and environment pollution. Especially, the Electric Vehicles (EV), as a kind of zero-emission vehicle, are now been researched all around the world. The author's master project is based on the development of Vehicle Control Unit (VCU) of EV.In order to meet the requirements of vehicle control efficiency and real time performance, the VCU of the micro EV uses a 32-bit micro-processor MPC5633M as the digital core. In order to improve the efficiency of software development, as well as the transplantability of the software, the author researched on the key technologies of ECU software development based on MPC5633M, including'full-automatic code generation'technology and the basic application of AUTOSAR. Based on the research, the author established a new software development platform, by using which platform, the author finished the software design of the micro EV and tested and verified it through experiments.Using automatic code generation technology has become the tendency of vehicle software design. Compared to traditional code generation technology, the'full-automatic code generation'technology can generate all code files including up layer algorithm code and low layer driver code. And the code files can be directly downloaded into targets without any manual coding work. Firstly, the author packed the hardware drivers of MPC5633M in the form of Simulink blocks, and then wrote TLC files to control the code generation process. By these means, the users of the'full-automatic code generation'platform can establish a full model including low layer hardware driver blocks and high layer algorithm blocks, and generate all code files from the model automatically. By using this platform, the development of controller software can be done in the environment of MATLAB, and the effectivity can be tremendously improved.The author also did some research on AUTOSAR, and by using the'full-automatic code generation'platform, users can generate up layer software components of AUTOSAR automatically.Based on the'full automatic code generation'platform, the author designed the software model of the VCU, including the energy management strategy, vehicle control algorithm as well as the VCU hardware configuration. All the software C files are generated from the model and then downloaded into the VCU. At last, by doing experiences on motor bench and the'Harry'EV, the'full automatic code generation'platform is proved to be efficient and reliable, and the software algorithm of the EV VCU is verified.
