Motorcycle frame is a very important component; it affects the strength and fatigue life of motorcycle directly, so it has to be validated by long time road test. In order to save design time and cost, research of speed up experimentation and FEM analysis have been done.First, use acceleration gauge and strain gauge to acquire specific response of motorcycle during road test. Then calculate driving signal with acceleration response of front/rear axis acquired before. Use these signal as excitation to evaluate frame on road simulation test rig. Response to simulation test rig is similar to road test.Based on finite element method (FEM), three-dimension model and finite element model has been set up to analysis frame's dynamic response and static strength. FEM model has been validated through the comparison between analysis results and road test data. Furthermore, study of frame fatigue life has been carried out.Through the study of motorcycle frame above, not only FEM model and test data were deposited, also some important conclusions were made, and some factors which affects frame fatigue life were found out, some specific weakness of frame was exposed to facilitate solving problems of such kind of frames. And this study is also groundwork of structure improvement and lightweight.
