In order to improve the small single cylinder engine used old design, low power, high fuel consumption, high pollution. This paper has developed a new supercharger system, without changing the structure to enhance the engine performance. Design object of this paper is the 185K single-cylinder diesel engine which is used widely in China's rural..First, using GT-POWER to establish a 185K single-cylinder diesel engine simulation model, chose scroll pump as the supercharger, establish a 185K single-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine simulation model, obtained a whirlpool pump cylinder diesel engine lines of joint operation, and analysis the joint operation lines.Subsequently, pressurized to test the reliability of the engine, we use three-dimensional finite element to analysis 185K single-cylinder supercharged diesel engine piston, connecting rod, crankshaft and other major components of mechanical load and thermal load. In the paper, the selected two different supercharger and engine matched to a detailed design, design of the transmission and crankshaft pulley two direct drive transmission mode, and eventually made into a prototype assembly. We also design a simple intercooler.Finally, a diesel engine test is benched, and we compare the performance of the prototype experiment and the prototype machine. Experimental results show that in the two programs the power and torque gain 10% more than the original prototype machine. Although the low-speed torque characteristics of the program A is worse than the B's, but the high-speed torque characteristics of the program B is more excellent, and the program A compact, low cost, practical, be set as the final program.
