The thesis attempts to explore the factors of traditional rural dwelling comfort that influence on its residents'health from pathological perspective. In addition, the author made a spot investigation to discover the environmental problems existing in current houses. The threatening degree to the dwellers'health has been discussed with the foremost concern for its residents. Based on the investigation, flexible suggestions to renovate the houses have been put forward, which can serve as the references for improving the health of the residents.The thesis has six chapters. Chapter One is an introduction with focuses on the subject and method of the research. Meanwhile the previous work and research of the others have been analyzed and discussed. Chapter Two is a literature review on pathological theory, comfort of dwelling as well as residents'health. Based on these resources, the author puts forward his research hypothesis and sets up the theoretical model. Chapter Three describes the spot investigation on traditional rural dwelling and analyses on the houses problems. Chapter Four centers around the investigation of comfort of dwelling and health of the dwellers. Chapter Five is a relative research among three factors: building pathology, environment and the dwellers. The last chapter is conclusion, which concludes the summary of the research, limitations of the research together with the suggestions as well as the predictions of the future research.
