Study Of Safety Management In Subway Construction Based On Social Network Analysis

In the recent years, the traditional safety management theory is coming to across the aboard between different fields and integrate with social science, psychology and other fields. It has been developed to safety action science theory from the typical accident causation sequence theory, and paid more attention to the human's unsafe actions and status. Therefore, in this paper, based on the social network point and the background of subway safety management, the relationship between the people on the site from different parties are identified; then, the leader in the project are analyzed, and some groups that could do affects to the overall of safety statues of this project are examined.A subway construction project was chosen, and a refined questionnaire was used to survey the workers from constructor and supervisor company on the site. Then, the social network analysis tool was adopted to do the analysis of whole and individual network. The result of whole network density indicates that whether there is strong relationship between workers and the restriction that colony put on individual. In addition, the result of individual network analysis of project manager, safety supervisor and technology section head suggests that whether some groups are formed and make some effect to the whole safety management performance on the site. Finally, some suggestions which could do positive contributions to subway safety management are given.This paper integrates the social theory with the subway construction techlonogy, and does some contributions to the researches of subway safety management.
