Analysis Of Traditional Villages Pattern On The Culture Line Of Hanjiang River Basin

Hanjiang River is the largest tributary of the Yangtze River, its basin area is vast, it is an important river for communication in North and South of China since ancient times. the settlement types and their culture in this basin is extremely rich. This paper studies its traditional type of rural settlement, development, siting, form, structure, function, and many other features with the "cultural routes " of the heritage conservation academic as the background and the clue, trying to comb the traditional rural settlement on the Hanjiang River to make the situation more clearly.In the first chapter, the background, the purpose and significance of this research, relevant concepts and the framework are presented.In the second chapter, the constitution of Cultural line of Hanjiang River basin has been studied. And the geography and history of Hanjiang River basin are presented, focusing on the business line, military defense line and migration status.In the third chapter, traditional rural settlements in Han River valley are classified. The principle to classify them and its superiority are indicated. Also, the common features of agriculture settlement, market town settlement, military defense settlement and boat people settlement are generalized.According to the analysis of cases, Chapter 4 to 6 deeply studied three types of traditional rural settlements in Han River valley, including agriculture settlement, market town settlement and one type of subclasse of military defense settlement named mountain pass.Chapter7 is the conclusion. This part summarized the features of differents of settlements, illustrating related affairs.
