V94.3A gas turbine engine is the main type which is introduced from Simense Energy by Shanghai Electric Group. Its performance and reliability is leading in heavy duty gas turbine industry. At present, the transferred technology is only the fabrication technology. The system design, fabrication of hot parts and the control system are not in the list of transferred technology. This paper will focus on this gas turbine engine, the system modeling and simulation model of the gas turbine will be built, the preliminary control performance will be investigated. Hopefully, this will be a reference for the self-developing of the control system of this gas turbine engine. The main points of this paper are as follows:Firstly, the modular models of the components for gas turbine engine were established based on the working principle. The system model of gas turbine engine was built and the simulation results were validated based on the design point parameters.Secondly, the control logic of the V94.3A gas turbine was reviewed and the preliminary control system schematic of load following/speed adjustment and exhaust temperature limitation was proposed based on the system requirement.Finally, the dynamic performance of gas turbine system was analyzed. The preliminary control performance of the gas turbine system with load following was simulated. The results with/without exhaust temperature limitation were compared. This will provide reference for the controller design of V94.3A gas turbine.
