With the extensive application of renewable energy in the power system, it is now increasing the impact on power system scheduling and control. But the new energy hasn't been adequately described in Common Information Model, which affects the sharing and exchange of data between the new energy and power grid management system. Therefore, the extension of renewable energy in CIM has become a hot research topic in Smart Grid. On the basis of the analysis of renewable energy demand in the economic dispatch, control and excitation, this paper fulfills the establishment of common data class according to their public properties, which includes the CIM of power generation, control, excitation and ECP of distributed resource. This paper also analyzes the physical properties and electrical characteristics of new energy power generation equipment such as the wind turbines, photovoltaic batteries, fuel batteries and energy storage batteries. By using the logic nodes created by IEC61850-7-420 and IEC61400-25, we can fulfill the mapping from IEC61850 logic nodes to CIM while ensuring the integrity of the CIM, thus extending the CIM of the 4 renewable energy mentioned above. Based on the IEC61968 standard, this paper designs the power flow calculation message of distribution network with wind generation. The mapping method used in the model building process provides a new approach to the coordination and integration of the CIM and IEC61850 model, while at the same time reducing the redundancy of the model. The successful application of the message indicates that the model meets the communication needs between the dispatch center and the new energy equipment and it is with high practicability.
