The thoughts and methods of"Capability-Based"requirement analysis, in which Capability has become a core element, have gone increasingly deep into the development of Weapon System-of-Systems (WSoS). Effectively analysis and programs of capability have become the fundamental task for requirement analysis.with the analysis and description of WSoS Capability requirement, it is easy for the the analysts and designers to figure out insufficiency of capability and equipments in satisfying the task requirement and fix on the orientation and central parts of Weapon equipments development, overcoming the aimless and disorder of Weapon equipments development.Capability requirement indexes generation of WSoS is key content in WSoS capability analysis, since capability indexes project is a core element of capability developmental project. Conventional capability index analysis methods and means can no longer suit the demand of WSoS capability analysis under the condition of the network centric warfare and meet the high dimensions and many values needs of capability index optimization and design. New, scientific and effective methods and means for capability requirement index optimization and design must be discussed.On the basis of analysing of the difficulties and challenges in the generation of WSoS Capability requirement indexes, this dissertation takes deep study in the area of analysis and generation of WSoS Capability requirement, in order to provide a method for analysts and designers and help them make appropriate decisions in the generation process of WSoS Capability requirement indexes plan.The main contents and achievements of this dissertation are listed as follows:(1) The value of each index is measured as an interval and the single mode of the relationship analysis between tasks and capabilities by relationship matrices and influence graphs is changed. The meta-activity model is proposed and the capability is enclosed in it to form a meta-activity base. During the decomposition process of mission activity, the capability indexes are abstracted by meta-activity collections. After analysising the four kinds of meta activity-capability mapping, the meta activity-capability mapping base is setted and the meta-activity performance levels are transafered into capabilities indexes requirement.(2)The capabilities indexes are divided into two kinds and pretreated respectively. To slove the problem of capability repetition in different tasks, the capabilities indexes acquired from the tasks decomposition need to be aggregated to achieve a capabilities indexes requirements list under the multi-tasks condition.(3) The constraints of capabilities indexes acquired from the tasks decomposition are neglected, which leads to the irrationalities and conflicts between different capability indexes requirements. Constraint Network is introduced in this dissertation and the constraints of WSoS Capability indexes are divided into five kinds. Three kinds of conflicts are defined and the tactic of consistency detection and conflicts elimination is designed to reach a capabilities indexes requirements plan satisfied the the tasks requirement and the capabilities constraints.Finally, an example of a sudden shock operation carried by digital armoured equipment WSoS is used to ascertain its capabilities indexes requirement plan, validating the methods brought forward in this dissertation.
