Volumetric properties and mechanics properties of asphalt mixture Marshall test are important properties to assess the performance of asphalt mixture in our country, the existing research are based on small sample of the test. But because of irregular shape and size of the mineral aggregate particles and the random spatial distribution of particles in forming process, leading to the inherent dispersion of the material properties, which makes differences between indoor test results and the practical production of asphalt mixture test results. So the traditional small sample inspection methods are hard to meet the requirement of the inspection of asphalt mixture index, more can't deep in asphalt mixture of inspection evaluation standard. Therefore, this paper using large sample test methods to research the property distribution law of asphalt mixture, on this basis, seeking the method to determined the material control standards of asphalt mixture based on the risk theory and carried out the exploration of new methods of inspection and evaluation of asphalt mixture properties, the main work includes the following aspects:Firstly, analysis the variability of raw materials and production process, and determine the reason for the variability of asphalt mixture properties, and indicate the inevitability of the existence of material properties.Put forward using large sample test method to analysis the performance of asphalt mixture.Secondly, consider the influence of gradation to the match, different gradation and the different production conditions on the asphalt mixture properties, select six groups of dense-graded asphalt mixture to do a large sample test, and fit the distribution of each property to determine its distribution. Research shows that the two-parameter Weibull distribution function appears to be more appropriate or use with bulk speci?c gravity( ? f) and voids ?lled with asphalt(VFA), whereas the three-parameter Weibull distribution function was most appropriate for air voids(VV ), voids in mineral aggregate(VMA ), Marshall stability( MS ) and flow( FL) value. The corresponding value of the peak of the weibull distribution appears to mean better characterization to the distribution of asphalt mixture material properties than the mean of normal distribution.In the above the basis of the study, established risk model for single, bilateral quality control properties respectively based on risk theory, put forward the method to determined the quality control properties which use the reliability as evaluation indexes, and the quality of the control properties to benefit is analyzed. Finally, in order to ensure that the better use effect of proposed model, new methods of inspection and evaluation of asphalt mixture material properties be carried out, the put forward inspection standards of mean( f a) and minimum value (maximum value) f min( f max).This paper has done a series of studies on the analysis of asphalt mixture variability, distribution of properties, the method to determined the control stand of asphalt mixture material properties based on risk theory and new methods of inspection and assessment for asphalt mixture material properties.
