In recent years, the highway construction scale is expanding gradually in China, most of the expressway adopt asphalt pavement because of its advantages. The asphalt pavement of expressway has been formed a relatively mature and complete construction method, but the quality control aspects in the construction process are not perfect, including the problems of asphalt mixture mixing quality control, asphalt mixture transportation quality control, asphalt mixture paving and rolling quality control. Excessive variability of the asphalt mixture will make its variability road performance too large, it is difficult to guarantee the uniformity of pavement quality and service level, and will seriously affect the service life of the pavement. Asphalt mixture variation exists in the process of materials choosing, mixture mixing, mixture transportation and other aspects. In the mixing process, the particle segregation is prone to cause the mixture gradation variation, the heating temperature and spraying amount of asphalt is prone to cause the mixture quality variation, the mixing temperature and mixing time variation is also prone to affect the mixture quality stability.This paper relied on the Yilan to Qitaihe Expressway, according to the target mixture proportion of the central laboratory and the engineering production mixture proportion trial mixed results, drew the control chart of mean value and range, judged the construction process whether in the stable state from the changing trend of control chart, is there abnormal trend. In addition, introduced the method and principle of mathematical statistics, processed statistical quality control, and effectively controlled the variation of the asphalt mixture production mixture proportion.This paper relied on the Yilan to Qitaihe Expressway, analyzed the asphalt content of the production mixture proportion, the passing percentage of the key sieve and the reason of overall variation, proposed corresponding solution measures for case that have happened or may happen, provided high quality mixture for pavement construction, and played a positive role in the Yilan to Qitaihe Expressway construction.
