Solar energy is an economical and pollution-free green energy, to develop new solar energy is our important component of energy strategy, it has to maintain an important role in the economy for the protection of ecological environment, energy conservation, sustainable development in China. Through the automatic tracking solar energy, so that sunlight exposure is always perpendicular to the receiving surface, is to improve the efficiency of solar energy conversion methods. As a result of analog circuits, solar automatic tracking system available have existenced the prevalence of low precision, the device easy to aging, temperature drift, performance instability and other issues.To address the shortcomings of simulation technology of solar tracking system, we design a microprocessor as the core of the solar tracking system. According to the knowledge of astronomical physics to calculate the sun's elevation angle and azimuth, and then by two microprocessor-controlled stepper motor or servo motor, the solar installation in the horizontal direction and vertical direction of rotation, it is always perpendicular to sunlight. The system uses digital, modular approach to the design of each part separately, to achieve a good tracking performance. Tracking accuracy control in the set range, without environmental impact, can achieve all-weather track, the solar conversion efficiency of about 35%. The system through integrated commissioning, working in good condition, can be play an important role in photovoltaic, solar thermal applications such as solar energy.
