The first phase of the Yellow River water supply project in Pinglu district, Shuozhou city mainly includes three parts: water intake project, water treatment project and water delivery project.According to the prediction on water supply scale of Huangbei artery water supply project and analyses on supply and demand balance of water, the design scale is confirmed to be 7.5×104m3/d.The only source of the project that fulfils requirements is the Yellow River . Lots of investigation and analysis on the Yellow River quantity and level assurance rate are made in this paper . Inflow pump station uses intake grillage in series with intake well and delivery pump house. The project adopts double centrifugal pump after analysis.Water treatment plant can provide the process that has high safety of water quality and local production-management level, the process includes mechanical mixing, fold-plate flocculating tank, tube settler with small spacing and sludge treatment. Additionally process uses chemical oxidations pretreatment method to control the content of organics effectively.Considering safety and economy requirements, geology and construction environment, the project adopts PCCP pipe and steel pipe.Based on comparison of different delivery and distribution pipe schemes and principle of water supplying pipe line, the decision on pipe laying site and the pipe diameter by flow is affirmed. After the completion of the project, the capacity of water supply in Pinglu district, Shuozhou city increases to 7.5×104 m3/d, water quality and safety of water supply could be ensured. The investment for the project is 224,988,100yuan, yearly water amount is 27,375,000 m3, the average cost is 3.559 yuan/m3.
