As a fundamental platform for research and design, Product Lifecycle Management has become an efficient data management and business support platform. Successful application in enterprise mainly depends on the ability of the PLM system adapting different industries and changes, what requires PLM system to be customized for industry solutions. This thesis researches on customization technology oriented to power boiler industry in PLM system.Focusing on the present knowledge management situation of power boiler industry, a design method of knowledge management component is proposed with four functional parts of the component: knowledge acquisition, knowledge integration, knowledge sharing and knowledge update. A basic structure is designed consisting of application layer, the platform layer and the support layer. Based on customized PLM system, the customized component module is developed and customizable common tool libraries are designed oriented to power boiler industry.Focusing on the present process design situation, method of parametric process is researched and a rule-based parametric aid design component implementation scheme is prepared including steps of parameter definition, process definition, flowchart planning, etc. The thesis puts forward the expression method of parameter flowchart rules and realizing rule-based customized design via integrating with Visio platform. Combining with process characteristics in power boiler industry, a parametric aid process design of long pipe joint fillet weld is illustrated in customization.Focusing on the present simulation application status in power boiler industry, based on the platform of customized PLM system, an industry-related and customized common integration pattern is researched which can be applied in different enterprises. In terms of secondary development of simulation software, a cross-process message agency to connect with PLM server is built, the connection between simulation software and PLM system is realized. The integration between simulation software ANSYS and PLM system is elaborated and simulation flow according to the characteristics of enterprise is customized. The simulation data and design data is timely remote shared and collaborative work between simulation staff and design staff is facilitated.The related work achievements are deployed in customized PLM platform and customized application is performed in a power boiler enterprise.
