The real-time identification of coal's quality and consumption is very important to power boiler's safety and efficiency. The real-time inspection of coal quality and comsuption can guide us to adjust the amount of the air entering boiler and feedwater according to the variation of coal's quality and consumption in order to make the boiler work stably with high efficiency.Most rapid coal's quality apparatus can only measure a part of coal's quality, they are very complicated and too expensive to use for power plants, so they aren't utilized wildly. The real-time inspection of coal comsuption which has been utilized by some power plants are founded on Electronic Balance ,but it isn't useful for pulverizing system with coal powder bunkers. So far, most of power plants cann't achieve real-time inspection of coal quality and comsuption. As the development of computer science, soft measuring technique and sensor hardware, it would be possible to achieve the real-time inspection of coal quality and comsuption with Soft-sensing Technique already.This paper base on the boiler of Wuhan Irol and Steel Corporation's power plant. According to the model of Soft-sensing Technique which have already been researched and the co-combustion of coal, BFG and COG in the power plant, a model of real-time identification of coal's quality is founded on balance of substance of the mutil-fuel and combustion gas ingredient; a model of real-time identification of coal's comsuption is founded on balance of energy in the process of mixture of primary air and coal powder.In order to achieve real-time inspection, we need an in-depth analysis of the effect of measurement parameters on the calculation of coal's quality, we choose the reasonable measure apparatus. Compared with the experimental results, the accuracy of the calculation results of coal's quality and consumption is acceptable. Finally, we design a software, realize the function of real-time inspection of coal's quality and consumption and the software is utilized well in the power plant.
